At YouNoodle, we strive to provide entrepreneurs around the world with inspiration, opportunity, and connections.

Inspiration begins with our online network where entrepreneurs can discover and interact with like-minded individuals and their startups on a global scale. Podium is our competition platform that allows the most talented individuals and innovative startups to rise to the top and get the opportunities they deserve. Pulling it all together is YN1K, a community of connectors and influencers who reduce the degrees of separation between the entrepreneurial communities around the world - fostering collaboration and accelerating growth. By using this trifecta approach to entrepreneurial awesomeness we are creating a place where all entrepreneurial journeys should begin.

Rebeca Hwang CEO

Co-founder of Clean Tech Open and Startup Malaysia, Rebeca is a true entrepreneur. Chemical and Environmental Engineer from MIT, and teaches technology entrepreneurship at Stanford. Korean/Argentine by culture.

Torsten Kolind CTO

Former CEO of Venture Cup in Denmark, Torsten has built web products since he started his first company at age 16. Has judged competitions at Stanford, MIT and Imperial. Loves algorithmic challenges and is an avid musician.

About the company

YouNoodle is a San Francisco-based tech startup founded by Rebeca Hwang and Torsten Kolind in 2010, backed by a group of business angels from the US, Europe and Asia. The company was spun off an ambitious project started by Bob Goodson and Kirill Makharinsky in 2007 with support from Peter Thiel (Founders Fund), Max Levchin (PayPal) and Charles Lho (Amicus Group), our founding investor and Chairman of YouNoodle today. This project also spawned Quid (Goodson) and indirectly Ostrovok (Makharinsky).

YouNoodle is run by a dedicated team of 9 different nationalities, all based in YouNoodle's garage office in SOMA, San Francisco.
