Xignite

Xignite is a financial cloud services startup that provides on-demand web services for financial market data and applications.

The company offers a range of financial web services covering market quotes, news, corporate data, industry information and analytics that are used in applications that require current financial information and enterprise-class infrastructure such as portfolio management, sales management, trading, investor relations, executive dashboards, analytical engines and investor websites. Xignite currently has about 400 customers including Citi, GE Commercial Finance, Wells Fargo, ING, Marsh McLennan, Starbucks and Wendy’s.

Earlier this year the company launched Splice [splice.xignite.com], an on-demand, visual development tool, similar to Yahoo Pipes, that enables companies to mash-up enterprise-class Web services in just a few minutes. Developers can assemble services that fit their exact requirements and use these “splices” to power any application. Splice has a built-in library of popular Web services including Xignite financials, Google, etc. Users can easily add other services from other cloud vendors and internal SOA deployments.
