One such entry is the ChikPOS Checkout System (http://www.chikpos.com/corporate/). The ChikPOS business idea is a graphical user interface point-of-sales system sold modifiable-off-the-shelf. It's minimal hardware interface lacks a physical keyboard, the multi-touch screen renders a virtual keyboard when necessary. The ChikPOS functions as a business system (producing "decision" reports), a high definition television screen (able to output Bluray quality video), billboard (an effective advertising channel), translater (allows a shop assistant and a foreign customer to communicate), texter (within store). It is hardware independent, and is an all-in-one system that can be modified to any type of POS system, on resale of the system. It is EPEAT Gold- also XBRL-compliant. It was developed in Australia.
