Overview


Tribe9 headquartered in Kuwait, aims to be a leader in delivering "high end" Gaming/Design computers, wireless communication, and the latest technology innovations to mass market, business, government and wholesale customers. Tribe9 started in 2005 as a humble hobby serving friends and family, eventually serving customers. Tribe9 operations include Tribal PCs, which delivers high-grade quality component built PCs for designers, media editors, and gaming cafes, with a strong focus on gaming enthusiasts to customers in the middle east. It also includes TribalSage, which brings customers the benefits of converged communications, information, and VOIP services utilizing our servers hosted on reliable data centers in New York. As a start up venture with strategic relationships with Aramex, FedEx, Intel UAE, Microsoft Kuwait, Liquid Memory LLC (USA), and by its co-founders in Kuwait, we expect to make a minimum revenue of USD 1.25 million in the first year.


The History of Tribe9

Tribe9, based in Kuwait/Hawalli, was formed by a group of friends that all worked in the IT industry on February 3rd 2005 under the name of TribalSage. Kuwait has always been in the dark ages when it comes to the latest and greatest entertainment devices. This was especially true for high performance gaming PCs. The Silicon Valley of Kuwait known as Hawalli usually sold dated parts/components at over 300% of their original retail value. Selling low-grade computer packages that valued at USD 300 was--and still is--common practice. Consumer eduction is still frowned upon, and not actively practiced nor encouraged in Kuwait's gaming PC market. Software piracy is basically tolerated, and even advised to be used by consumers often claiming that it is the same thing, and explicitly stating that USD 3.00 pirated version of an OS would perform just the same as the original.

Tribe9 aims to change this, by focusing on consumer education, as well as community building, by establishing strategic relationships with major identities such as Intel, Microsoft, Asus, OCZ, CoolerMaster. Tribe9 will introduce a new way of doing business in Hawalli, by focusing on the gaming community, organize events, tournaments, and bring the local gaming cafes on board with a join marketing venture. And finally introducing reliable high grade personal computers ideal for design/video editing/gaming at realistic affordable prices. In addition to that Tribe9 aims to introduce the components used for Tribal Computers to the mass market, effectively distributing a select grade of PC components to region.

Tribe9 prides itself for being run by 100% local team, owned and run by Kuwaitis, operating with the efficiency and professionalism of the west, with a blend of Arabian business culture, trust, ethics, and hospitality.

The Tribe9 logo was selected because it represents tribal art, the name Tribe is something that both expats and locals can relate too. The Middle Eastern culture ranging from personal/family to political/business relationships are very influenced by our Arabian Tribal Culture. The Tribe9 name and its logo, is the perfect brand to introduce in Kuwait and the Middle East, eventually to the entire world.

o Hamad has been an avid gaming enthusiast since the age of 10, professionally working in the IT industry since 1999. Hamad has a wide variety of experience ranging from Virtualization to performance tuning, and penetration testing.
