TravelGator was designed to help travelers not only with the practical aspects of planning a vacation, but also the fun parts - looking for ideas, putting together different possible itineraries, discussing plans with friends and family, and sharing tips, photos and stories from past travels. The site provides easy-to-use planning tools that allow travelers to build and share possible itineraries as they explore ideas on where to go for their next vacation.

Travelers can browse destinations, recommendations and stories posted by other travelers, and save anything of interest in their personal travel planner. They can also tap into our database of thousands of attractions and sightseeing opportunities around the world and search based on where they want to go and the type of things they want to so.

As plans firm up, travelers can find places to stay by searching TravelGator’s deep inventory of accommodations, assembled from a broad range of hotel partners. The planning tools allow travelers to book flights, hotels and cars directly from their itineraries via leading online travel agencies and price comparison tools. After they return from their vacation, travelers can post their stories and photos to share their experiences with friends, family and fellow travelers.

TravelGator also allows fellow travelers to share their best trips via their own personal pages and build a friends list that is available to them on the site and allows them to keep track of where others in their personal network are going.
