Jake de Grazia created the startup

Been working on The Carrot Project since spring '07. Did the EIR thing for a while in the energy tech space. But the startup got too crazy. So it's almost all carrots these days. And I try write about it as much as I can.

ABOUT US

We don't know what businesses we ought to be supporting or what behaviors we ought to be rewarding. We've heard lots of different opinions, however, some of them in harmony, some of them conflicting.

We figure best to be humble and agnostic. Best to bring heaps of info together, organize it, make it feel simple, and sic a bunch of users on it, let them tear it down or prop it up or send it or amend it.

The beta site we've just thrown out on the internets will be small and simple and quiet, a place on which we'll see about building the roots of our community of contributing users. We're going to pull a few hundred committed people together by the end of the year. Then we'll have an engine. And, once we have an engine, we think we can make the plane fly.

THINGS WE NEED

  • Beta users. If you want to be a part of the first instantiation of the carrot project community, tell Jake. Starts fall 2008.
