Sports Technologies, based in Collinsville, Connecticut, was formed in 2006 by a small team of former ESPN.com employees and other Internet veterans. The company’s mission is to create world-class Web technologies that allow fans to share their passions for sports, entertainment, finance and other categories.
Sports Technologies launched FanNation.com in September 2006. Today, FanNation.com is part of the SI.com network.
Sports Technologies partners with some of the leading brands in sports including SI.com, the NFL, NBC Sports, Golf.com and the USOC. Sports Technologies has also partnered with Entertainment Weekly in creating TV Fan.
Sports Technologies primary business is licensing its technology to companies who want to provide users with a platform that drives communication and competition through easy-to-play games, aggregated news, and community tools.
