Soundtrckr blends Internet radio, social networking and location-awareness. Drawing on a fully licensed library of more than 7 million songs, soundtrckr users can create and share personal radio stations, play music with friends in real time, communicate through an integrated chat feature, geotag songs to places, and search their neighborhood for music and like-minded fans.

Revenues are derived from a blend of audio and visual advertising, app sales, music subscriptions and song downloads on the business to consumer side as well as platform licensing for music labels, venues, artists and retail.

Soundtrckr exists at the intersection of Internet radio, mobile, and location-based services. Key players in these sectors include Last.fm, Pandora, MOG, Blip.fm, Foursquare, Whirrl, Loopt, Brightkite and Gowalla.

Soundtrckr’s management team has deep experience in the music and mobile sectors: CEO Daniele Calabrese is a former World Bank Communication Officer and Project Manager. COO Ken Manning is a former Director at Razorfish and the Founder and Chairman of betterPropaganda Music. CFO David Porter is the Founder and CEO of 8tracks, previously serving as a Manager and Director of business development at Live365. Dina Hellerstein, Advisor on Content Strategy and Partnerships, acted as a legal advisor to MySpace Music, Yahoo!, LionsGate, Veoh and Howcast, and served as in-house counsel to EMI Music.

The company raised 800,000 USD so far from Angels, Private investors and early stage start-up fund in the USA and Europe and he is looking to raise 1,500,000 in Equity
