ABOUT US
The idea about SFC's (Smart Fit Chicks), is to begin reversing the obesity epidemic while the youth is still young with pliable minds. When teens become College Freshman, they are exposed to a new found freedom, and that means food and activity. Learning how to properly fuel their bodies, minds and keep active will help to lower the risk of the obesity epidemic.
The goal to encourage participation, is to have the Teen girls receive college credit and must be an active college student. By having a team of Nutritionists, Personal Trainers, Psychologist's, and Doctors/Nurses on board, will keep the safety at a high in reaching these young student.
Topics will include:
Nutrition: How to choose healthy cafeteria food and navigating the grocery store
Exercise: Getting more activity in your already busy day
Mental Health: Handling Stress
The idea is still in ground stages. All feedback and comments welcomed!
