ABOUT US

With over 1 million users and growing, the open source language known as "R" has emerged as the de facto standard for developing computational statistics and predictive analytical software.

REvolution Computing was founded in 2007 to continue to foster the community, as well as support the commercial base of users and their needs. Our name derives from combining the term "R" with the word "Evolution." It speaks to the ongoing development of the R language from an open-source academic research tool into commercial application for industrial use.

Working closely with the open source R Community and drawing on the resources of Intel Capital, REvolution Computing provides commercial software extensions and support for open source R that enable statisticians and scientists to derive meaning from large sets of mission-critical data in record time.

Predictive models built with REvolution R and REvolution R Enterprise featuring ParallelR help to answer the most pressing research questions. For customers such as Pfizer, Novartis, Yale Cancer Center, Bank of America, Motorola, Hess and others, "R" and REvolution Computing stand for faster drug development, reduced time of data analysis, and more powerful and efficient financial models.

REvolution's ability to "parallelize" R across multi-core processors has its origins in the workshops of REvolution's predecessor company, Scientific Computing Associates, and its signature product "Linda."

REvolution is focused on serving the needs of the community and its customers, with a deep history in "super computing" combined with its experienced scientists, team leadership and support from Intel Capital.
