ABOUT US
Motivation: For those of us who "use a wheelchair … 2.7M", (ADA Census ADAC, 2002, p18) and have a "severe difficulty lifting and carrying 10 pounds … 3.3M", (ADAC, p26) the Baby Crane is securely attached behind you and with it's electric hoist you can pick up and tote in front. Our goal weight limit is 200lbs. This can help in freeing or our loved one's and caregivers from bearing a significant part of the burden of lifting & carrying for us. When needed, it can be swung away to allow access to a table and not only is designed for use to/from home, school or work but many places in between. Specifically essential, it can also be useful on many wheelchair vehicles including buses and Paratransit vans and novice users can instruct the proper removal and remounting.
