ABOUT US
Who We Are
Range Fuels is a privately held company funded primarily by greentech venture capital companies, including Khosla Ventures, LLC, arguably the top venture firm in the U.S. focusing on alternative, clean energy systems. Our leadership team melds experience from the technologically intensive oil, chemical, petrochemical, coal gasification, power and gas-to-liquids industries, the renewable fuel industry, and the pulp and paper industry.
What We Do
We convert biomass that cannot be used for food into low carbon biofuels and clean renewable energy using emerging clean energy technologies. Biomass includes all plant and plant-derived material, such as wood, switch grass, corn stover, and miscanthus grass – making it a renewable energy resource that produces no net greenhouse gases.
Why We're Different
Range Fuels’ process can convert all – not just some – of the biomass into biofuels, which results in higher product yields. Our modular facilities allow us to bring the conversion process right to the biomass source, thereby reducing the energy expended with supplying the facility with feedstock. The design also allows the addition of modules to meet increases in nearby feedstock supplies and allows us to better respond to increasing consumer needs for low carbon biofuels and clean energy. Our approach is highly flexible, efficient, cost effective, eco-friendly, and scalable.
THINGS WE NEED
The Range Fuels team hasn't posted any needs yet.
