Punim

Introducing Punim.com, a social community for Jews of all ages,
interests and beliefs.

So why call a social networking site punim? If you're not familiar
with the word, punim means "face" in Yiddish. A familiar face is a
reminder of the things that connect us.

This site is called Punim because social networking is about the
connections between us and, traditionally, our faces are important to
how we connect. With Punim.com, you will notice those connections more
quickly than ever before. What's more, Punim instantly begins new
connections whenever you share your thoughts with the community or
consider someone else's.

At Punim.com, we are building a community starting with a place. This
online space can serve as a face for our Jewish hearts. It's not only
a place for Jews to meet, but a great way to share ideas, knowledge,
humor and even love.

Our mission is to share all the things that make Jews unique. Our
customs, histories, viewpoints and vibrant imaginative life. It all
begins with the face, that personal page, but our members will find
much more as they dig deeper into their Judaism. By concentrating our
collective knowledge in a central location, we make available the
otherwise dispersed work of bloggers, artists, writers, musicians,
comedians, chefs, filmmakers, genealogists, and academicians. It's our
hope that easy access to all these nuggets of Judaism will strengthen
our cultural community.
