ABOUT US
PneumaCare provides clinicians with non–contact, intelligent monitoring of vital signs for applications in clinical management, intensive care and home care. The product is a disruptive platform that produces standard medical outputs and information in a way that is easy for both the patient and clinician to use. The platform extends a well-established market by allowing a broader portion of the population to be assessed and monitored. The approach provides novel information and a fresh clinical perspective.
Clinical acceptance of PneumaCare’s approach in the medical community has grown from the co-founder Richard Iles’ position as senior Respiratory Consultant at Addenbrooke’s hospital to publications in numerous papers and demonstrations in Great Ormond Street Hospital London.
The team has been capital efficient. Using a combination of grant, revenue and angel finance the opportunity has been advanced from a need voiced by doctors to a business with a CE marked product (Class I) that is helping to extend the well-established lung assessment market into new patient populations. Over 100 adults and children in University and Hospital studies have been measured with further invited demonstrations planned in major UK hospitals over the coming months.
