ABOUT US
Launched in 2002, PayScale offers the worlds largest database of salary information to help employees find their worth. The company, which is based in Seattle, asks users to disclose detailed information about their job function and compensation. In return they get access to detailed salary information in the database, including custom reports based on salary, bonus, commission, hourly rates, health and vacation benefits.
The basic service is free. PayScale generates revenue by upselling users to premium accounts and selling aggregate data to third parties.
PayScales competition includes Salary.com, SalaryScout and PayScroll.
