Passpack, the free online password manager, was launched in December 2006 and immediately started to grow. In January 2008, the company was incorporated with operational headquarters are based in Rome, Italy.
Passpack was funded shortly following, in May 2008. Investors include Zernike Meta Ventures S.p.A (ZMV), representing Ingenium and members of Italian Angels for Growth.
In November 2008, Passpack officially came out of Beta, simultaneously launching the first premium upgrade. The year 2009 promises many innovations, including the release of a Black Box appliance for the small enterprise.
To date, Passpack is managed by co-founders Tara Kelly (U.S. citizen) and Francesco Sullo (Italian Citizen). This "little password manager that could" continues to grow and garner incredible media coverage: PC Magazine, Cnet's Webware and NBC Nightly News.
