Online RPG

I wrote up a unique strategy/RPG concept and had a friend help code it up. It's incomplete, but close enough to see what the idea is. The game allows users to create the content (unique characters and missions) and then assemble teams of their own OR other people's characters and go on other people's missions.

Due to time constraints and personal issues, my friend bailed out on the project, although we do have our working version online. My friend coded it in JSP, but I'd like it in regular PHP so I can bring in more people to work on it if needed. I have the source code, and the site is still online.

The beauty of this game is it can allow user-generated content to keep things growing, and I wanted content moderated by users as well (flags and so on).

There are mechanics for 'most popular' and 'top used' characters, and the 'meta-game' is that each player generates a blog entry when they do run a mission, and the blog entries are cross-linked by players, characters, and missions. Other people can comment on the blogs to help the player or just tease/cajole them.

The idea could also be used to pull in really big players, like myspace, facebook, or similar -- to incent people to stay online and do more things.

I'm currently looking for one or more programmers. The entire project could be 'live' in one month. I have a graphic designer on-board to do the UI, but I'd also like to work with local people.
