Near™ is an interactive media platform. We create digital models of real-world places that let companies and other organisations connect their online and real world activities like never before. Near™ is not a website nor is it a Second Life. It is a city browser that integrates seamlessly with existing online content and data allowing users to explore at street level, browse and buy from retailers, watch concerts and films and even play games. Near™ uses advanced video game technologies to deliver dynamic, live environments with real-time lighting, weather effects and thousands of concurrent users.
London is the first of a global network of Near™ cities and will launch October 2009. A private beta will start in February 2009.
