The self-cleaning technology provides a significant advantage in UV treatment of water and wastewater. UV disinfection has long been recognized as an effective means of water and wastewater treatment without the adverse effects of typical chemical treatment (eg chlorine).

However it was not until the development of this automatic self-cleaning technology that UV treatment also became cost effective through reduced maintenance (the self-cleaning device reduces routine maintenance by up to 75% resulting in annual servicing rather than quarterly).

Now with the emphasis on the environment and carbon reduction this technology has the potential to change the water and wastewater treatment market as the world shifts to environment responsible practices.
