mobifriends

mobifriends.com is a free new service, to meet new people to share hobbies or interests, find new friends or a relationship, via Internet or mobile phone, in English, Spanish and Catalan and soon in other languages. Users can communicate via messages, mobis and Videomessenger. We have an international patent and we plan to add location based searches. The revenues will be premium services, targeted advertising, mobile contents download, SMS services, events and related services.

Users can use for free www.mobifriends.com on the Web and m.mobifriends.com on the mobile phone to sign up, upload their picture, search for other users for “share hobbies”, “friendship”, “flirt”, “relationship” and “let’s see what happens”. They can use messages, mobis (funny animated messages) and the Videomessenger. The sites have a very good user centered design and usability. We will offer a mobile client with Cell-ID, WiFi and GPS location.

The service will be international, and the target is people from 18 up who want to meet new people to make new friends, share hobbies or find a relationship, via Internet or mobile phone. The main target is from 25 to 45 years old. The service is in English, Spanish and Catalan, and we will add more languages. We are now focusing in Spain to get our critical mass objective and after that we will expand to other countries. Now with the crisis more users are using these services.

The public beta was launched the 15th of November 2008 and on March 2009 we are doing the official launch. Currently we have more than 2000 users from Spain and a few from USA, France, India, UK and Russia.
