Mi-Pay

Mi-Pay Ltd was established in 2003 to provide innovative digital payment services, originally with a particular focus on an outsourced pre-paid topup service for mobile operators which enables consumers to top-up their accounts from their handsets safely and securely.

In 2005, Mi-Pay initiated a Joint Venture called Digital Payments Ltd in partnership with Voca and Retail Decisions, and working closely with e-Pay Ltd to address the UK pre-paid mobile phone topup market, gaining rapid market share operating outsourced services for the Carphone Warehouse group and several other major UK mobile phone operators. At the same time, Mi-Pay incorporated SecureLink™ Java technology, to provide a banking grade secure mobile payments client for 85% plus of handsets.

Mi-Pay has continued to grow, becoming an experienced business process outsourcer, providing multi-channel pre-paid recharge operations for many major mobile operators in Europe and the Middle East. In addition it has expanded its remit to include the provision of white-label stored value accounts for those clients who want to provide handset based micro-payment services in a wide variety of applications including transport, utilities and gaming.

More recently, Mi-Pay has taken its mobile payments expertise into the provision of mobile phone based banking, micro-finance and authentication. Working with a number of retail banking software providers, Mi-Pay can provide these companies with a secure, reliable mobile phone based banking service that they are now selling into retail banks and their consumers across the World.

In addition, Mi-Pay is providing services to smartcard and other contactless card companies, enabling mobile phones to be integrated into these systems, allowing the consumer to check and top-up card balances (for themselves and family/friends) as well as receiving suitable promotional offers relating to the service.
