ABOUT US

Learnit lists is a UK based company created to bring together social network marketing, web 2.0 marketing, market research and online learning provision. The learnit widget provides opportunities for intelligent marketing time efficient learning.

Learnit is a widget that helps people learn a foreign language. It uses the principles of the advertising industry–brand exposure leading to brand recall–to teach people new vocabulary. Learnit works by placing a daily list of the same 10 words in many frequently visited locations around the Internet, such as blogs, banner adverts, search engines and social network sites like Facebook and MySpace. It can be placed on the desktop or used as a screen saver.

Learnit can be used by English speakers and English learners. It now offers 20 language pairs, and more are regularly added. Learnit also includes endangered languages via an integrated open source WIKI project. Learnit was conceived on the 30th January 2008 and is the work of a team of 4 individuals with long and varied professional experience. The team is made up of a web programmer, a social software architect, a market research training professional and a designer.
