ABOUT US
In the Kono Business Danish designers design bags, scarves and computer sleeves, which a group of marginalized women in Sierra Leone produce. !e products are sold in Denmark. !e primary customer group is young, female students (B2C) and in the long run we also plan to include consulting companies (B2B). !e customers will get a unique handmade product, which is useful and practical. Aside from this however, storytelling is the essential element, bringing the individual Sierra Leonean women’s lives to the forefront, thus creating a bond between the producer and end user, allowing the consumers to brand themselves as politically conscious consumers. !is business will also train the marginalized women in
business skills and in time train them to run their own business based in the local market in Koidu, Sierra Leone.
