iperform3d

The iPerform3D team is a group of musicians and technologists with diverse backgrounds. One day a few of us got to talking about when and why we started playing, what we liked to play, how many guitars we had gone through, and which instruments we wanted badly. We all agreed that getting better was something we all shared.

We talked about how guitar players get better. A great teacher is probably still the best way to learn, but finding the one person who knows what you want and how to explain it is not always easy. We looked at the online options and concluded that while many of the teachers were great, the technology was disappointing.

Cue the light bulb! The gamers in the group suggested a new and revolutionary approach to capturing great teachers with the same technology used in games and movies. If we could create highly accurate "virtual" teachers that we could move around, slow down, and view the way we wanted, it would be like walking up to our favorite players and telling them what we wanted to see. Best of all, they would do what we wanted and be available 24/7.

It was not easy and there is still a lot to do, but we are very excited about iPerform3D. Check it out and see why learning to play guitar will never be the same.
