GentleMed is a medical device company that specializes in developing ophthalmologic drug delivery systems. Our mission is to develop products which take patient lifestyle into consideration. GentleMed has developed the AccuEye, a novel applicator for eye medication that contains an eye guide and a reminder device to ease application of any eye medication and help patients adhere to treatment regimens. The AccuEye increases application accuracy this will reduce wasted medication and gaps in treatment. In the case of glaucoma, this could lead to unnecessary surgeries and permanent blindness. Our entry into the glaucoma market segment as it demonstrates the greatest need for the AccuEye. Patients needing inpatient services cost $4,929 each year. In contrast, patients that do not need significant intervention only cost about $300.
