Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero is a video game series that simulates guitar playing. The game was originally developed by Harmonix and is now developed by Neversoft and it is published by RedOctane and Activision. The game series utilizes a guitar shaped game console for users to simulate guitar playing to mainstream rock songs. Players view an on-screen color scheme that matches colors on the fret of the guitar console. As colors are highlighted on the screen, players press the corresponding color on the console and hold down the fret. If strokes are missed, then points are lost. The system is typically single player, although they have more recently released multiplayer games. The first version was published in 2005.
