Gogogic has been operational for almost three years. During this time, the company has constantly been run on budget and with an excellent track record with regard to financial responsibility.
Gogogic has released a number of small online games which have collectively been played over 200.000 times.
Gogogic has launched effective viral campaigns for its clients, demonstrating the company?s experience and expertise in the field of online marketing.
In December 2009, Gogogic became the first Icelandic company to receive a grant from The Nordic Game Program, which was launched in 2006 and is now in year three of six. It focuses on making Nordic electronic games more readily available to Nordic consumers, and the funding scheme is an important part of that process. 138 grant applications were reviewed in 2009, of which 18 were accepted.
In December 2009, Gogogic released a board game – Kreppuspilið – as a combination PR/marketing effort and a rapid production exercise. The project was leveraged to get international media attention from sources such as Financial Times. Gogogic was able to produce and release the game in four weeks. Direct marketing costs for the board game amounted to about 15-20.000 ISK, while sales amounted to approximately 3.5 million ISK, excluding taxes.
Gogogic is finalizing its first iPhone game and all contracts for submitting and selling through Apple?s AppStore have been successfully concluded.
