ABOUT US
Eternum Energy designs and develops products in-house in order to target specific applications and niche markets. In line with Eternum Energy's ambitions, all products are designed to support the development of communities in sustainable ways and encourage economic growth.
Eternum Energy's current focus is to design products which reduce the cost of mobile phone usage in rural areas of developing nations. Mobile phones have become a vital part of any enterprise where electricity and phone line infrastructure do not meet requirements. Essential activities such as carrying out money transfers and communicating with buyers/sellers is hugely improved via mobile phones. As the cost of mobile phones have reduced significantly to make them widely accessible, the demand has been explosive. However, lack of electricity supply makes frequent usage difficult and expensive.
An example of a product Eternum Energy is currently working on is the Solaris mobile phone charging station. The device allows an off-grid kiosk owner to provide a mobile phone charging facility in order to generate revenue. The unit is compact and highly affordable considering the service that it can provide to the community. The device is solar powered and can continuously charge up to four mobile phones at a time throughout a typical sunny day. The product is being trialled by major distributors in East Africa.
