PROBLEM
Due to the success of Social Media there is a growing need to better understand and engage with the Social Web. Companies are only just starting to see the need for a social media strategy. Engagor helps these companies to be successful in their online endeavors.
SOLUTION
The Engagor platform provides a one-stop solution to monitor, analyze and manage your online presence. By leveraging social media with advanced analytics, Engagor is capable of providing deep insights and ranking of relevant content from your social space.
MARKET
According to a recent report by Gartner (http://www.gartner.com/it/page.jsp?id=1541415), the spending on Social Software to support sales, marketing and customer service will exceed $1 Billion worldwide by 2013. Engagor mainly focuses on both the big and smaller enterprises. Engagor Dashboard is used by marketeers, pr, sales and support.
SALES STRATEGY
We define four main channels for doing sales. Expected revenue for each of the channels will change over the coming years:
- Direct Sales: we approach the bigger companies directly
- Online Sales: smaller customers will be able to signup for Engagor online. Online payments will be enabled in June 2011. Biggest driver for the online sales channel will be our marketing efforts.
- Resellers: resellers are typically Communication Agencies, PR Agencies, Social Media Agencies, … Resellers are very interesting for quickly getting results and doing business in new territories.
- Agents: when approaching new territories, we initially work with agents that prospect new clients and drive new business to Engagor.
MARKETING STRATEGY
As a company active in social media, we strongly believe in the long term benefits of actively engaging with (potential) customers through the social web.
- Social Media: the Engagor platform will be used for lead generation and spreading the word online
- Content creation: together with professional bloggers, Engagor will regularly publish interesting articles about global events.
- Conferences / Meetups / Competitions: speaking opportunities can give us more visibility, generate coverage and increase our reputation.
- Working with major Agencies: resellers are a perfect medium for spreading the word about Engagor mouth to mouth
- Ad Campaigns: multiple experiments will be done to optimize ad-based marketing through Google Adsense, Facebook and Twitter
- Email: through a monthly newsletter, we will keep current and potential customers up to date on the newest additions to the Engagor platform
- Workshops / Webinars: through weekly online webinars and monthly workshops, potential customers can get a better idea of what Engagor could do for their organization

Engagor employs a SAAS model with monthly recurring revenue.
COMPETITORS
A lot of companies claim to provide a solution for Social Media. However, especially if you look at the abundant array of free tools, the insights they provide are mostly superficial and as such very limited. Almost none of the platforms provide real actionable insights. In the current stage, we compare ourselves with platforms as Sysomos and Radian6 who mostly focus on the insights part and provide simple workflows to interact online. We are currently shifting more towards a platform as SproutSocial with the addition of the advanced analytics we already have and more.

In this stage, Engagor is currently self-funded. The company was founded in February 2011. We currently have around 20 customers and made more than €70k in revenue for February till April.
