What issue will your venture address? and why is it an important issue?
Eco Scraps recycles food waste and turns it into a soil amendment that then replenishes the earth. It is recycling on steroids. We all depend on the earth and its resources. The challenge is ours to find ways to create environmentally responsible solutions to saving our planet.
Why are YOU pursuing this specific issue? Tell us why you're passionate and qualified!
I love being in nature--hiking, gardening, fishing, getting down and dirty. The earth is ours, and it is our responsibility to make sure that future generations can enjoy it as much as we do.
As a high school and a college student I have raised over $500,000 for various non-profits, I have founded my own charity that now has dozens of chapters (weareimpact.org). I have extensive experience conceptualizing an idea and executing on that idea. I make things happen.

Eco Scraps, LLC collects food that would otherwise be thrown away and through a completely organic process turns it into high quality soil conditioner. This soil conditioner has the same nutrient values as chemical based soil amendments and is 100% organic. This is the only soil amendment on the market that offers the best of both worlds.
We have the potential of reducing landfill waste, and methane emissions by up to 20% through our food recycling.
