ABOUT US
Recycling is part of our mission and our passion. Best Friends Mentoring Program ties the community together through volunteer opportunities to recycle and save space in our landfill. We are committed to this project and are developing a strong network of supporters and partners. We recently acquired a local Dickinson business route, where we collect recyclables on a regular basis. Drop off cans in any of the collection points at: Wal-Mart parking lot, Runnings parking lot, West River Community Center parking lot or parking lot on Villard Street next to Westwind Consulting Center. Through teamwork we manage collection, inventory and sales of the recyclables. All proceeds are directed to supporting mentoring of at-risk youth. As we build this quickly expanding business, we need everyone's help: Join us to collect recycables, help transport them, or coordinate recycling. We also need maintenance and fuel for our vehicle. All monetary deductions are tax-deductible. Don't delay! Contact us for how you can be a part of this exciting initiative that benefits two great causes: making a difference in the life of a child and beautifying our community.
THINGS WE NEED
-
Seeking green-minded volunteers to partner with us for managing this project and for on-the-ground work. Seeking business plan developer. Seeking donations of recyclables (used cell phones, aluminum cans, ink & laser jets, iPods, MP3s). Seeking monetary donations and fuel gift certificates so we can continue to pick up recyclables from local businesses.
