ABOUT US
Founded by Mick Dillon and Mike Hinds in 2006 the focus of CarsIreland.ie is to provide all its users (buyers & sellers) with a great online experience. With over 200,000 unique monthly visitors CarsIreland.ie is fast becoming one of Irelands leading car classified websites. Private advertisers are allowed advertise free of charge while the site is commercialised by charging the dealers a license fee to list their inventory and the provision of innovative services such as car history checks.
With the slow-down in the economy, car dealers are increasingly focusing on cost per enquiry and ROI and this has led enabled CarsIreland.ie to acquire over 600 new dealer subscriptions in the past 15 months. Key skills in online user acquisition and particularly organic search marketing, usability and software development have enabled CarsIreland.ie to generate traffic at a lower cost, get users to spend more time on the site and send more enquires. This gives CarsIreland.ie a significant competitive advantage at a time when most dealers are watching key metrics such as cost per enquiry/cost per sale.
The desktop software used by dealers to upload stock to CarsIreland.ie is unique in that it can be used to upload stock not just to CarsIreland.ie but the dealers own website & other third party sites. This reduces the amount of time dealers have to spend uploading stock and integrates CarsIreland.ie further into the heart of the car dealers business. CarsIreland.ie was featured on the Irish version of Dragons Den in 2009 and won the best practice category at the Irish Internet awards in October 2009.
