Bright Lightbulb connects high school students in developing countries with mentors in leading universities and research labs in the world. Young students participate in cutting edge research projects, network with role models and work on start-up ideas.
Examples of projects that student teams have undertaken are a bilingual astronomy textbook written by students which shows the compatibility of western astronomical concepts and the observation-based astronomical knowledge collected by the Mocovies aborigen community in the north of Argentina; and a startup that recycles contaminated river sediments into clean construction materials.
