Ask.com is the #5 search engine behind Google, Yahoo, MSN, and AOL. Ask.com was originally known as AskJeeves and specialized in natural language search. In Sept 2001, the company acquired Teoma Technologies, and began shifting Asks algorithms away from natural language search. Ask.coms ads are served by Google. The revenue they generate for Google accounts for 10 percent of Googles revenue from partners.
AskJeeves was acquired by IAC in March 2005 for $1.85 Billion.
