ABOUT US

Our team, Angaza Design, is developing an affordable and permanent solar lighting system designed to capture a large share of the off-grid lighting market in East Africa. Our product has the ability to transform the base of the pyramid lighting market with a strong user-centric design, by providing our customers with cheaper, cleaner, safer, and brighter lighting. The more than 35 million East African households that lack access to electricity currently spend a large percentage of their annual income on kerosene and candles to satisfy their lighting needs, creating a huge market opportunity for our product, which offers both lower cost and better quality than current options.
