ABOUT US
Beginning as a research experiment for DARPA, Hosain Rahmans Jawbone bluetooth headset uses military grade technology to cancel surrounding ambient noise. Jawbone is not only practical, but its a stylish (and expensive at $120) headset thats been raved about on many a gadget site.
The headset uses a sensor placed on the side of your jaw to pick up vibrations when you speak. When you are speaking the microphone picks up more strongly and then weakens when you stop in order to make calls much clearer.
Aliph, the company behind Jawbone, has raised a total of $14 million since 1999, yet a recent $5 million round from Khosla Ventures came specifically to develop its new headset. An investment of undisclosed size has also been made by venture giant, Sequoia Capital.
