Wm. "Bill" Bitz

Finished college in Washington State in 1978 and began working as a licensed real estate agent. Listed and sold residential real estate in the Spokane, WA market until July of 1982. A luncheon with Richard Rosamond persuaded me to change my direction to mortgage banking. I began as a retail residential loan officer with Pacific First Federal in July 1982. I was a top volume loan officer there until I accepted a position to manage a branch for Old Stone Mortgage Corp. over seeing the Spokane Inland Empire operation. Old Stone transferred me to Federal Way, WA where I started a new branch for them. From the success of that branch I was then transferred to So. California to open another new branch in the Tri-City Corporate Center in San Bernardino.

In late 1987 I moved to the Sacramento area of California where I worked as branch manager for Commonwealth Mortgage and later CityFed Mortgage. The face of the mortgage industry was changing so I decided to change too. In 1989 I began working as a "mortgage broker". Seeing the competitive advantage a broker had over a banker left me little choice. Sacramento was a boom town and business was robust.

In February of 1992 I and my business partner Christopher Long created and opened Golden Bear Mortgage Corporation. Together we operated this broker/banker company for nearly fifteen years. We had branches in Fair Oaks, Cameron Park, Truckee, Arnold, Corona and Walnut Creek. We hired and trained more than 100 employees during our existence.

I am a professional trainer and motivator. My passion has always been to help people advance themselves both personally and professionally.
