Description: Call Alumni and Friends and ask for them to give to the University of Virginia’s various colleges and programs, whether that is the University Libraries, the College of Art & Sciences, etc. In the top 30% best callers, with over $15,000 fundraised in three and half months in Fall 2009.

Description: Collaborate with UVa faculty, CIO leaders, and professionals in order to organize speaker presentations with the aim of helping students get a better understanding of what is really involved in the different fields of business. In charge of delegating tasks to the other members of the executive team, so that the planning of events goes smoothly. Organized 3 large scale events with professors and professionals. Currently working on the planning and execution of events for Spring 2010.

Description: Communicate with potential clients throughout the USA and the world, in order to eventually develop a partnership between them and SEED. Participated in microfinance projects with new and small NGOs in the Philippines, Gambia and Namibia. Provided consulting services to LI so as to improve their efficiency and effectiveness. Helped the Team Leader in his work with LI, and had to be able to take over were he to be absent at a Team meeting. Researched grants to finance the activities of LI, through organizations like Gates Foundation.

Description: Did bookkeeping with the help of an accounting program (ACROPOLE), by doing the entries for bank statements, sales, purchases and expenses for our clients. Completed the documents for the payment of corporation taxes, as well as filled out the payroll documents for our clients. Translated documents from French to English for the firm, including e-mails that were to be sent to clients abroad and a booklet (”Doing Business in Italy”) to be read by all employees of the firm seeking to work in/with the Italian branch. Verified the permanent document folders of our clients, as well as drafted the declarations of VAT.

Description: Researched employer advertisement websites (ex: Monster.com), and compiled a comprehensive list evaluating and comparing the usefulness of each.
