FULL BIO

Wil joined Ashoka after earning degrees in Marketing and Communication from Villanova University. While studying in Philadelphia, Wil developed a partnership between colleges, radio stations and businesses to support and invest in the Genocide Intervention Network. He has explored international economics in Panama and worked to support female filmmakers in Oregon. As a board member of the SLIGHTLYaskew art collective, Wil regularly teaches interdisciplinary workshops to promote artistic, cultural and generational exchange in underserved communities throughout the US. Wil studied film production in Johannesburg through NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he created Citizen Gain, a short documentary about social entrepreneurs working on economic development projects in Southern Africa. His work has been featured at the Art of Entrepreneurship and Base of the Pyramid Conferences. His video, Drawing Conclusions, won best digital video in the Citizens for Global Solutions 2008 Multimedia Contest. He now handles Fellowship Communications for Ashoka's Global Fellowship and enjoys snowboarding, surfing and music.
