Description: • As the primary Engineer leading this start-up from inception to launch, built fund-raising site based on online micro donations for use by individuals and non-profits.
• Co-created and designed the Flash/ActionScript application -- the heart of the site -- which visually represented individual contributions and campaign goals. Created JavaScript version for initial mockup.
• Built highly scalable site using PHP with the Smarty template engine.
• Designed and created the MySQL tables used throughout the site.
• Coordinated site development with other Engineers in Sri Lanka and Designers in Romania.
• Used Subversion /SVN for version control for beta release and the live site.

Description: • Managed server and database processes for sending, tracking, and recording HTML newsletter activity.
• Wrote Perl programs to improve the sending of newsletters, including partitioning of large quantities of data.

• Led a project developing almost two dozen financial calculators built with JavaScript.
• Took responsibility for the global templating of the site's header, footer, branding variables, cookie processing, and
stylesheets for Quicken.com and partner sites with Excite, AOL, Webcrawler, Prodigy, CNNfn, and Schwab.
• Worked on transitioning the site from a UNIX system using CVS version control to a Windows NT system using
Perforce version control.
• Helped convert global templating and data retrieval from a proprietary language to C++.
• Modified the user interface and programming of the My Finances page, a top-visibility personalization feature.
• Acted as one of the administrators of CMS (Content Management System), interacting with and helping members
of the Editorial, Marketing, and Ad/Sales groups on a daily basis.
• Worked on tools that allowed Quicken for Windows to access data from Quicken.com and partner sites.
• Developed a reputation for having a broad knowledge base and willingness to help people in many departments.
