Born in Lamego and raised in Santa Maria da Feira, Tiago studied Economics in the University of Porto during 4 years. He also was in the University of California at Berkeley for the Summer Sessions and took his exchange program an Tampere, Finland, for one semester.
During his academic passage he was managing several non-profit organizations: students' associations, Choral Society of the University of Porto and Musical Group of the University of Porto. He was also one of the founders of the Entrepreneurship Club of the University of Porto.
He represented the University of Porto at events that took place in Portugal, Spain, Canada, Venezuela and Brazil.
In September 2009 he joined Mckinsey & Company as Fellow.
