Susanne May founded MayCoach & Company in 2006. As MCC’s CEO, she has seen her vision grow from a one-person operation to a premier, world-renowned executive education firm including 60 associates and important strategic partner organizations worldwide. Her mission is to create and support positive societal change though thought leadership. Her areas of expertise encompass global strategy and leadership, executive coaching, career development and open innovation.

Susanne has coached hundreds of clients, including CEOs, VPs and other senior executives, consultants and directors of global corporations as well as young and bright talents from world-class business schools. Susanne developed and delivered numerous executive programs and workshops and has served as coach in many add-on coaching programs to government organizations, universities, NGOs, and private sector. She worked for example with clients such as the National Urban League, the National Water and Sewage Organization in Burkina Faso, Duke Corporate Education, the Danish Leadership Institute (Mannaz) the European School of Management and Technology, Instituto de Empresa, Berlin School of Economics, or KPMG, Allianz Group, DaimlerChrysler South Africa and Australia.

Before working as an executive coach and program facilitator, Susanne has developed significant expertise in a wide range of disciplines including strategy, credit risk, business development, as well as complex project management consulting and liaison in a global environment. As part of the executive team of the DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Board, and in her role as Senior Manager in the DaimlerChrysler Corporate Strategy department, she has worked with all levels of the organization and facilitated several important transitions on a global scale for example the worldwide coordination of Shared Services, BASEL II and Sarbanes-Oxley introduction or the Automotive Finance Company set up in China.

Susanne is a graduate of Germany’s elite university ‘University of Constance’. She studied International Relations / Political Economy and Management focusing on systems theory and organizational research. In addition, Susanne holds the Columbia Coaching Certification from the Columbia Business School in New York. She is a Systems Coach, a Systemic and Process Management Consultant and is certified in MBTI Step I and II and the Intercultural Readiness Check and the Cultural Orientation Framework.

With her special talent to motivate and to build trust, she creates an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship focusing always on practicality and bottom-line solutions. Susanne conducts her work in German, English and Spanish and she is conversant in French.
