Use of Wi-max technology to ensure last mile connectivity through a mobile vehicle unit is being implemented in association with Alcatel-Lucent and BSNL in select remote villages of Nagapattinam district. - Project involved setting up TNDMS - an e-governance venture in Disaster management for Government of Tamil Nadu which aids in beneficiary tracking by every government order and linking to every beneficiary in every habitat village to improve transparency and accountability in post disaster aid distribution. - TNDMS was selected as one of the three best projects in aid information practice in the entire Asia pacific region. - Project involves setting up and running a community radio station and a community video station in Nagapattainam with total community ownership and governance. - Series of workshops conducted in State, District and regional level in Pondicherry Kerala, Karnataka and Tamilnadu resulting in the formation of South India Community Media Network (nominated as executive board member) involving participation of 200 NGOs across the region - Set up a community portal for knowledge sharing with an inbuilt LMS and video conferencing facility to facilitate knowledge sharing amongst rural communities through their village information centers and conducting training programs on networking and audio video and text content . - Administering and monitoring funds amounting to 4,00,000$ and coordinating with various NGOs and funding partners for its effective utilization. |

- Project is a partnership project between Philips- the initiator in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, Indian Space Research Research Organisation (ISRO) and Dhan Foundation - Project aimed at creating a revenue model while catering to the heath care needs of people living at the Bottom of Pyramid and cross subsidizing through a cooperative mutual insurance scheme of the SHG federation. - Feasibility analysis of distributed drinking water and affordable low cost lighting solutions for rural India modeled on hire per day basis through SHGs. Lighting project went into pilot mode subsequently. - The Board of Management of Philips international – Royal Dutch Electronics and 2,50,000 employees, awarded the project unanimously the Gold medal inside Philips in a competition across 80 countries - Project drew the attention of His Excellency Dr.Abdul Kalam, the then President of India and was to be demonstrated in front of the parliament to all Member of Parliament to be replicated across the nation. - Project implementation involves great deal of technical knowledge in cutting edge technologies and cross functioning between streams like Medical imaging, Satellite communication, Software engineering, Automobile engineering etc - Project involves catering to the health care needs of nearly 30,000 SHG members and nearly 1,50,000 of their family members from ten different NGOs spread across an entire district. - Project includes only a three member team, myself, the CEO and the Sr. General Manager and hence a great a great deal of responsibility and authority. - Only member from Philips implementing the project working directly with nearly 20 staff and indirectly with nearly 200 staff from different organizations and working across organizational cultures |

Explored e-learning modules to facilitate distant education models for effective outreach to people in rural areas. - Overall the project aims at considerable economic upliftment in a time bound period of 3 months to 6 months and involves lobbying with corporate and Govt. officials to generate funds for the programme. |
