Description: INYPSA Group´s Corporate Director, responsible for all non-engineering areas (listed on Madrid stock exchange; 2010 net sales: EUR 62 MM). Main responsibilities: finance, strategic planning, HR, IT, communication, investor relation, legal, CSR & quality compliance; team of 28 people. Main achievements: significantly improved the overall performance and service level of the areas under my responsibility albeit reducing costs by approx. 20%; put in place overall cost saving program for all business areas; centralized finance and administration functions; launched structured innovation program; implemented professional development plan and performance compensation program; restructured overall reporting to BoD; restructured financial area of Turkish subsidiary.

Description: Responsible for Holcim (Brasil)’s finance and administration area (2009 net sales: EUR 400 MM). Main responsibilities: controlling, financial reporting and management, procurement, CAPEX management, legal department and strategic planning; team of approx. 100 people. Main achievements: instrumental role in the turnaround of the Brazilian subsidiary with and EBITDA improvement from -15 MM € in 2007 to + 75 MM€ in 2009; financed cash flow deficit of EUR 80 MM in 2008; improved the service level of the finance area to internal and external customers; renegotiated 36 procurement contracts in the first half of 2009, leading to production and distribution cost savings of EUR 1.7 MM/y (8% of the contracts total spend); restructured the tax and legal departments, significantly improving the management of more than 500 legal proceedings; implemented Toyota’s “lean-thinking” methodology in the finance area, targeting at significant process simplification; reduced costs of the finance area by 15% in 2009.
