Sean Park has been involved as founding investor (either personally or on behalf of his employer) in a number of disruptive and highly successful new ventures including Betfair, Markit Group, International Index Company, Weatherbill and seedcamp.
He is the founding partner of Nauiokas Park - an investment company focused on catalyzing technology-enabled disruptive innovation in financial services and markets. Prior to founding Nauiokas Park in 2007, Sean worked at Dresdner Kleinwort’s London office as Managing Director and Head of Digital Markets and was also a member of the Capital Markets Management Committee.
During his career in the investment banking industry he was well known for being an early proponent of the use of new technologies to transform existing business practices, including pioneering the use of online bookbuilding tools in primary securities markets, championing the accelerated adoption of electronic trading and using social software and networking tools in an enterprise context.
In 2005, Sean was one of the Financial News Top 100 Rising Stars of European capital markets; in 2002 he was named one of the Top 100 Euromarket professionals and in 2003, one of the top 40 bankers under 40 by Euroweek magazine.
He authors the Park Paradigm blog which explores themes relating to the future of markets and the financial services industry.
