Description: - Responsible for all in-house and on-site service with a staff of six technicians. Performed such routine management functions as recruitment, hiring, termination, and performing internal evaluations of staffing levels, technical performance, and group performance. Provided continual coaching and critique of technician technical and customer service performance as well as mediating any internal problems that might arise. Continued management duties while on full-time contract for Ely Lilly and Co for two years.
- Business/client need analysis, development and implementation of service plans including security, file and print, backup, remote access, WAN or Internet connectivity, cabling and protocol selection.
- Designed and implemented complete network solutions for clients utilizing Novell and Microsoft networking solutions, Intranet and Internet setup, coordinated training development and implementation for end-users and technicians providing workshops as necessary and setup and configured Server components.
- Tier 2 contractor for Eli Lilly and Co. at their Clinton Indiana plant site providing desktop support services for approximately 1500 PCs and over 2000 users.
o Daily duties included LAN connectivity issues, hardware and software troubleshooting, and hardware and software installation on Compaq , Hewlett Packard, and Gateway systems. Replaced or installed new systems or components such as network interface cards, memory, soundcards, video display cards, and hard drives from a variety of manufacturers. Installed and diagnosed problems related to Microsoft Office 97, Lotus Notes client, Netscape Communicator, Internet Explorer, Oracle 16 and 32 bit clients, Microsoft Systems Management Server client, Reflections Suite, Maximo, Novamanage, and Business Objects. Resolved problems such as TCP/IP configuration errors, winsock errors, and DHCP errors.
o Basic maintenance and repair of Hewlett Packard Laserjet III, 4, 5, and 4000 series printers including preventative maintenance kits, replacement of toner cartridges, fusers, and power supplies.

o Utilized Remedy Action Request System to track and query trouble tickets for our group.
o Responsible for creation and maintenance of the software bundle images for all network PCs on plant site including both desktop and laptop system. This included development of a bundling process that allows technicians to log into network from anywhere on plant site and re-bundle systems. Worked in conjunction with tier 3 support or directly with software companies as tier 3 support to resolve software conflicts that had occurred within the standard software bundle.
