Prior to PointAbout Scott was the General Manager of Microsoft's Public Sector Business Development where he managed a team responsible for complex Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Defense and Education opportunities. Scott was also responsible for leading Microsoft’s Dynamics (ERP/CRM/Supply Chain) sales team as well as the organizations channel team. In this role Scott was responsible for starting up 20+ businesses of 50+ million/each in net new revenue.
Scott was with Microsoft since Feb 92. For the last 5 years Scott and his family have resided in Washington DC. Scott’s previous roles have included five years as the General Manager for the Mid-America district where he managed a 250 million dollar sales, marketing and consulting organization across the states of Missouri, Kansas and Tennessee.
Prior to his role as General Manager for the Mid-America district, Scott held roles such as Managing Consultant and Principal Consultant.
Before joining Microsoft in 1992, Scott held positions with other organizations, including Computer Task Group and Texas Instruments.
Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987. He and his wife, Nancy, and son, Ian, live in Washington, DC.
