Position: Dispensing Finance Analyst
Time period: January 2009 - Present
Description: This role is an excellent opportunity within the Dispensing Finance team. It provided me with a deep understanding of this complex and interesting area of the business. I worked closely with commercial teams to produce analysis and insight which drives business performance.

Tasks Include:-

- Providing insightful analysis to drive and challenge business performance
- Review of and input to the monthly category trading account, including explanation and investigation of anomalies
- Support the development of new finance systems for the dispensing business
- Understand underlying trends in performance such that sound projections can be made to support the planning, budgeting and forecasting process
- Modelling of various business scenarios and options to inform key decisions .

Position: Stores Performance Reporting Analyst
Time period: January 2008 - January 2009
Description: This role provides me with unique insight into the operations of the stores front end of the business working closely with departments throughout the business. I am responsible for month-end accounts, providing challenges to the numbers and carrying out deep dives behind the figures to fully understand the current position and key information management reporting on store controllable costs. I have gained extensive knowledge of SAP BW; this has allowed me to streamline the month end process by applying SAP BW to all reports which was not used before.
Along side this I track and report on stores property costs relating to Capex and Revex spend for the monthly board report.
As well as providing support for stores budgeting, forecasting and adhoc projects.

Position: Finance Assistant
Time period: April 2007 - January 2008
Description: I had the responsibility for contributing to a range of work streams for financial management, including providing advice and support to a range of budget holders. Amongst these work streams my roles consisted of production of management reports and assisting in forecasting/financial planning for budgets. Along side this I monitored and managed cash flow projections for the relevant budgets and liaise with colleagues coordinating cash and working though issues for the authority. I also gained extensive knowledge of Oracle financial systems and completed my certificate for CIMA.

Position: Graduate Finance Trainee
Time period: October 2006 - April 2007
Description: Working for my fathers company placed in a position within the finance function, I was assisting the Financial/Management accountant with day to day financial and management accounts and adhoc projects. Tasks included preparation and interpretation of accounts, Bank reconciliations and assisting in cash flow. Individual projects include the setting up of a new vehicle rental service for customers, this helped optimise used stock and provide a new revenue stream for the company.

Time period: December 2004 - June 2005
Description: Worked for an MNC, MAN in its commercial vehicles section in Germany the holding company of Neoplan GmbH. Worked with an optimized team in export sales & finance, Europe for the bus & coach industry. Roles included key account management, dealing with current and new tenders in the region of 1 million to 5 million Euros and supporting existing customers though after sales. This experience provided me with a pool of knowledge to help me in all business environments.

Description: In the summer of 2002 I went to work in Germany for 3 months for a commercial vehicles company my major roles where the creation and successful implementation of promotional and marketing material for the commercial airport vehicles section both traditional and new media. This involved working with the web development team on input for the English section of the corporate website www.neoplan.de. Through this I gained experience in various software packages Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash, Html and a proficiency in Microsoft Office.
