•Extensive experience in transportation management of all modes, negotiating and securing proper methods to deliver products
•Proven leadership from small groups of employees to over 100 at a single location
•Reduced turnover from 65 OSHA Recordables to less than seven, in 12 months, by retraining Supervisors with the HR Department

Employer: Vectren Utilities, LLC
Position: Manager, Warehousing
Time period: April 2004 - October 2008
Description: •Managed a unionized operation storing and distributing materials for a multi-state natural gas/electric utility with inventory value in excess of $25M.
•Implemented Vendor Managed Inventory and consignment program which achieved approximately $2M in cost reduction annually.
•Collaborated with Diversity Suppliers to recycle wood wire reels which reduced annual disposal costs by $60k, in 2008.
•Changed recyclers and increased monetary recovery by $2M over 2006.
• Identified $8M of obsolete inventory for disposal over the course of four years and identified additional $4M for disposal/recycling, for 2008.
•Prepared and managed annual financial budget of $6.5 million.

Employer: The Schwan Food Company

Time period: May 2001 - November 2003
Description: •Managed 24/7 Operation/four shifts with four salaried Shift Supervisors, 85+ full time, non-union warehouse employees and seasonal employees, in an 115,000 square foot, 12,500-pallet position facility.
•Lowered employee turnover rate from over 225% (2001) to less than 15% (2003), by implementing “study buddy program” for newly hired employees.
•Facilitated the safety program to lower OSHA recordable injuries from 65 in 2001 to seven in 2003.
•Facility Team member that researched a replacement and implemented SAP R3/WMS system.
•Increased the distribution center’s sales volume from $150m to over $450m, in less than two years, by becoming a “Positive Change Agent” that emphasized empowerment of employees.
•Prepared and managed annual financial budget of $6.5 million, using activity based costing principles (ABC).

Description: •Responsible for daily operation of a non-union125, 000 square foot convertible freezer and cooler comprised of 10,500 pallet positions for various contract customers.
•Developed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) relating to costs per case, pound, pallet, cube and square foot by customer.
•Through managing to Key Performance Indicators became the Lowest Cost Provider, in the region.
•Prepared and managed an annual budget of $6 million, which included sales revenue, labor costs and expenses using activity based costing principles (ABC).

Time period: July 1998 - June 1999
Description: •Managed the daily productivity of union employees to ensure order fulfillment to franchise stores, other contracted manufacturing plants and Distribution Centers.
•Centralized the raw material inventory and eliminated the need for an outside 3PL facility.
•Increased the shipped volume by 30% without adding additional trucks, by delivering ingredients to contract manufacturers in route.
