FULL BIO

Ralph began his career in the ski industry in 1986, as a ski instructor in Quebec. During this time in the ski industry he has held various ski school, sales, management and training positions. Highlights include being part of the original management team at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, the first four-season resort to open in the Canadian Rockies in 25 years. Ralph was also responsible for developing and facilitating a management training program for over 60 Whistler/Blackcomb supervisors.
Ralph continues to teach skiing with Extremely Canadian steep skiing clinics, and he is a frequent contributor to Whistler’s Pique News Magazine and has authored several articles on local business, tourism, and government issues, a part time politician, Ralph also serves as a Councillor for the Resort Municipality of Whistler.
Ralph is a Canadian Tourism Commission Certified Trainer and a Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance level 4 “Senior Instructor”; he’s also a member of the Canadian Society for Training & Development and the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.
Ralph’s Mission is to create change at work, by inspiring others to innovate, lead, and create great work environments.

Description: In November 2005 and again in 2008 I was elected to Whistler’s Municipal Council. I’ve always had an interest in local affairs having been a member and chair of the Whistler Advisory Planning Commission, and serving on several committees including the Whistler 2020 Advisory Committee, Resident housing task force, the Chamber of Commerce Service strategy committee and the Catholic Parish Finance Committee as well as serving as the V.P. of Public Relations for the Whistler Toastmasters Club.
My current Council portfolio of committees includes the Area Whistler Residents for the Environment (AWARE), Library Board, Lower Mainland Treaty Advisory Committee, Athletes Village Development Corporation and Whistler for Youth.
